Touch pannel issue #12

Hello,

I've installed yesterday 0.3.6 on my pine64. Everything is working well on HDMI screen, but on LCD screen (pine64 official LCD 7" screen), touch pannel is not working (display ok). Is there something to activate ?

Hardware: Pine A64+ 2GB Tested with latest release: Android 7.1 (PINE A64(+)) v0.3.6

Today I've try again with 0.3.5 instead of 0.3.6 and behavior is different: LCD is flashing white twice on boot, red power led on pine64 stop lighting and nothing happen after. No problem on HDMI.

Again no issue with same LCD on Android 6.0

I confirm observations made by Math43 above, as well as related issue #6 reported by dridri. Both Androids (regular and TV) 7.1, version 0.3.5, built 61 downloaded from pine64.org do not like the LCD touch panel: the latter flashes briefly and breaks the boot since the red indicator light turns off. When will this be fixed?

Math43: what was the latest version that worked with LCD?

Lovely. I just encountered this issue as well, and I see that #6 is already 8 months old.

I'm unable to get the touch panel working. I did observe the LCD flashing a few times too, and just thought it was non-functional. Then I set "screen0=lcd" in uEnv.txt and it came up. Just not sure how to get touch input to work correctly. Going to set up a serial console and see if I can get any logging data.

I'm giving up on it for the time being and just using the Pine64+ headless. The ARMbian image is working fine as long as I add the ethtool hack to /etc/rc.local .

After using Android 5.1 for over a year with LCD working fine I upgraded to the lastest 7.1 image and also can't get the LCD screen working. Added disp_screen0=lcd Pine64_LCD=On Above no help. Is this being worked on or another solution? Thanks

Have you been able to get the LCD touch panel to work on Android 7.x? Thanks.

I am struggling with the same thing (LCD touch panel works on 6.x version but not on 7.x version). I have an urgent prototype/project to settle and never thought that 7.x Android would be such an issue.
