Hello ,

i have downloaded your image here somewhere around 0.5 for PineA64 Armbian Xenial and it runs excecptionally well (more stable probably than all the rock64 image i tried) only it seems the graphics is underwhelming

so i wonder how i can upgrade to newer kernel ?

i tried with armbian-config (switch to "nightly") to no avail,

it seems stuck a 3.10 Linux pine64 3.10.107-pine64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed May 8 16:35:04 CEST 2019 aarch64 aarch64 aarch64 GNU/Linux

maybe on higher kernel there is HW-accelleration possible for mpv player?

thank you very much

To have GPU & HW you need to execute /usr/local/sbin/pine64_enable_sunxidrm.sh. It will setup Mali GPU driver. You can also compile the updated kernel with those drivers but the biggest issue is that LCD doesn't work neither with Mali on legacy kernel nor or mainline kernel under any driver. If you use HDMI you should be ok

thank you very much, but the folder is empty. where could i get the proper script for this Armbian_5.83_Pine64_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.10.107_desktop?

Armbian_5.83_Pine64_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.10.107_desktop I'm not sure about this one it applies to @ayufan-pine64 images which has filename signature like this bionic-minimal-pine64-bspkernel-0.7.28-136.img

Hello ,

thanks, i have tried Bionic images, but was not able to install a desktop environment on it. Also , the newer ARmbian Bionic images for Pine64 come withouth Desktop environment.
