Any fix on that? i have the same problem but my error message says "Current device is not supported. FirmwareVersion: FFFF BoardID: FF PDCS: FF"

The fan seems to work fine tho.

ayufan commented 1 year ago

It usually means that something blocked loading kernel driver. Like antivirus or some other windows feature preventing this type of drivers.

Yes now that you mention it i did install an anti-virus But is there any fix for it? I did exclude it as a threat from the antivirus settings but the message still pops up when restarting I dont mind about it i am just concerned about if there is any case of the fan not functioning right and resulting in overheating.

I tried to reset my steam os system and use a brand new windos11 iso to set up but it didn't work. Is there anything wrong with my steamdeck?

ayufan commented 1 year ago

Anything that is not FirmwareVersion: B030 clearly indicates to rather something that blocked loading kernel drivers.

I did add here the support for B030/A variant.

In other cases I need a snapshot from SteamOS, from Settings, from System, where it is shown the:

I'm having this issue too, I noticed that bios 114 isn't supported, but I'm fully updated so I don't know how to get 115. According to the error box my Deck has firmware B030 and the board id is A so nothing appears to be blocking it.

BIOS Version - F7A0114 Steam Deck Controller FW Build Data - mon nov 21 20:57 utc -00:00 OS Version - 3,4,8 OS Build 20230508.1

I‘m having the same issue, and I also found that the rpm on performance overlay was no longer available, but other detections(fps ram etc.) work normally. I reinstall the windows but the problem still exist.
