What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Get a T-Mobile G1 unlocked.
2. Come to Greece and use it.
3. Login connected to a WiFi network
4. It works.
5. Close WiFi, close the app.
6. Get 3G signal. Try to connect.
7. You will get Authentication Failed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is to be logged in. I, in return, get "authentication
failed" and can't login.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest version as of 01/09/2010 and on Android 1.6, T-Mobile G1

Please provide any additional information below.
I think the application tries to check some SIM information, but because the
phone was never meant to be used in Greece, it was bought from UK or America,
not really sure, I get authentication failed on Foursquare, like I have
problems with the native IMing app for MSN. (Google Talk works fine).

So maybe the fix would be to not to try and connect with the SIM to check SIM
info or something and just login?

Can you be sure that you can browse the web and use https web sites when you
are on 3G?

I logged in to Gmail with https when on 3G and it was fine. I have the same
problem with Justin.TV app too, as well as Gowalla. I don't know why. I can use
Facebook app just fine.
