[Spell] Fire Elemental Totem summoned pet base damage and coefficients are incorrect #17052

The Melee damage of Greater Fire elemental Totem is out of wack, it does way to much damage.

Scaling may also be an issue here:

Naked the melee hits around 1k on CC
With gear (preraid etc) its around 1.5k
in raids its around 2-3k (absolutely ridiculous).

The Fire Nova spell may be somewhat undertuned though - that said, the Fire Elemental's mana pool seems to not work as it should either, the mana does not diminish as it should do.

It looks like Fire Nova only does around:

Naked 225
with gear: 815 (again scaling seems to be a problem)

Shaman Stats: SP -748 AP - 1668

Expected Blizzlike Behaviour

Melee should be:

Naked: around 225
With gear (gruul,mag, kara): 575

Fire Nova should be:

naked: 760
With Gear: 1069

Shaman Stats: SP: 726 AP: 1594

I have videos Testing on Both CC and on Retail Wotlk, with shamans lvl 70 with aproximately the same gear/stats

Steps to reproduce the problem

Create a lvl 70 shaman and pick up all enhancement talents (to match blizzlike test) .learn https://wowgaming.altervista.org/aowow/?spell=32982 .go c 202964 (level 70 training dummy)

Release the Fire elemental and record damage values with naked shaman (132 sp from base enha talents) and shaman with t4 gear level (726sp). You can achieve 726 SP (to match the blizzlike test) by adding and using the following items: .additem 32240 .additem 32337 .additem 32327 .additem 32270 .additem 32344 .additem 32271 .additem 6373 (drink it)

Detailed math based on the source videos provided and CC tests on ptr:

Note: the Fire ele isn't supposed to scale with anything but spell power. (Call of Flames talent does not affect Fire Elemental)

1. Melee damage (naked - 132 sp) CC: 791-1248 // Blizz: 205-225 (note this is pure Fire damage and unaffected by armor, target has no resistances)

Melee damage (t4 geared - 726 sp) CC: 1221-1693 // Blizz: 548-585 (note this is pure Fire damage and unaffected by armor, target has no resistances)

SP difference: 594 CC Dmg difference: 430-445 // Blizz DMG difference: 343- 360 CC calculated coefficient: 73.5% // Blizz calculated coefficient: 59.1% Base damage CC: 694- 1151 // Base damage Blizz: 128-148 (extrapolated)

Verdict: Both base damage and coefficient requires fixing.

2. Fire Shield damage (naked - 132 sp) CC: flat 84 per tick // Blizz: 85-86 per tick

Fire Shield damage (t4 geared - 726sp) CC: flat 93 per tick // Blizz: 95-96 per tick

SP difference: 594 CC dmg difference: 9 // Blizz dmg difference: 10 CC calculated coeff: 1.51% // Blizz calculated coeff: 1.68% Base dmg CC: 83 // Base dmg Blizz: 83-84 (extrapolated)

Verdict: Base damage seems correct, coefficient needs to be fixed.

3. Fire Blast damage (naked - 132 sp) CC: 136-156 // Blizz: 512-577

Fire Blast damage (t4 geared - 726 sp) CC: 255-275 // Blizz: 644-723

SP difference: 594 CC dmg difference: 119 // Blizz dmg difference: 132-146 CC calculated coeff: 20% // Blizz calculated coeff: 23.4% Base dmg CC: 110-130 // Base dmg Blizz: 482-546 (extrapolated)

Verdict: Both base damage and coefficient needs to be fixed.

4. Fire Nova damage (naked - 132 sp) CC: 214-236 // Blizz: 716-808

Fire Nova damage (t4 geared - 726sp) CC: 511-530 // Blizz: 1014-1110

SP difference: 594 CC dmg difference: 294-297 // Blizz dmg difference: 298 CC calculated coeff: 49.8% // Blizz calculated coeff: 50.1% Base dmg CC: 148-170 // Base dmg Blizz: 650-742 (extrapolated)

Verdict: Coefficient seems correct (within marginal error), Base dmg requires fixing.

Note: there are other problems with the Fire Elemental that will go in separate reports (spell mana costs, cast patterns, scaling with haste and other raid auras, etc...)
