[Quest] "Dawn's Gambit" bug #2466

SMALL DESCRIPTION:

The Quest "Dawn's Gambit" id 4771 cannot be completed. Vectus is not attackable after using the quest item id 12368 "Dawn's Gambit" in the middle of the viewing room in Scholomance.

EXPECTED BLIZZLIKE BEHAVIOUR:

After using the item id 12368 "Dawn's Gambit" in the middle of the viewing room in Scholomance "Vectus" id 10432 should now be attackable to finish the quest.

CURRENT BEHAVIOUR:

Using the quest item id 12368 "Dawn's Gambit" in the middle of the viewing room in Scholomance, turns the NPC's "Scholomance Student" into skeletons (working as expected), Vectus screams "What is this?! How dare you!" and is still not attackable.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:
  1. .quest add 4771
  2. .go 122.126770 91.385239 100.936813 289
  3. use item 12368 and see that Vectus is not attackable

You just need to target Vectus or Marduk and attack with your skills (you cannot attack by right clicking because of the gossip option). This also works on the students before they are transformed into skeletons. The quest just makes the fight easier, because the skeletons are much weaker.

I tested the quest again, you're right!In the classic, the faction became aggressive after using the quest item. Check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=alwBWwpD-O8

At least that irritated me because I didn't know that you could just attack him. Didn't find any references for wotlk. What do you say?

I also believe that the NPC should at least become aggressive when the item is used. The gossips work as expected as @Stoabrogga already mentioned
