The wolf Summon (17077) escort does not stop when you engage in combat. He does not help and just walks on with a despawn because of range as a result. One boar spawns (correctly) in his path, so combat is likely to happen. The wolf speeds up at random to mounted speed. If you are not yet mounted, he will outrange you and despawn.
