We introduced the Azure Data Factory version 2 in June 2018 as it provides richer capabilities. Key benefits include:

1. Construct powerful ETL and ELT processes code-free and without maintenance
2. Ingest all your data with 90+ built-in connectors
3. Orchestrate, monitor and manage pipelines visually at scale using rich control flow
4. Get continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) for DevOps

With these enhanced functionalities, we are retiring Azure Data Factory version 1 on 31 August 2023. Please make the switch early to get the benefits of version 2 (current version).

Impact

After 31 August 2023, Azure Data Factory version 1 will not be supported.
