We introduced the Azure Data Factory version 2 in June 2018 as it provides richer capabilities. Key benefits include:
Construct powerful ETL and ELT processes code-free and without maintenance
Ingest all your data with 90+ built-in connectors
Orchestrate, monitor and manage pipelines visually at scale using rich control flow
Get continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) for DevOps
With these enhanced functionalities, we are retiring Azure Data Factory version 1 on 31 August 2023. Please make the switch early to get the benefits of version 2 (current version).
