Hope this finds you in the best of states...

This is just an invitation to the first 'informal' meetup! Please feel welcome to attend! We will just sit down, and see where to go from here (what we need to learn, want to share, frequency of meetings, timings and so on....)

Thank you to all who responded! Here are some of the thoughts collected:

  1. go through the recommended book (Bioinformatics data skills), chapter by chapter, and then through <Skype, maybe?> we share our progress, what works and what doesn't... (Skype seems to be the preferred medium of communication for most) ....> This can be on weekly basis?
  2. Have a monthly meet up, where one would go through a tool/ topic they have recently learned or are familiar with, and this could literally be any tool/topic (cool R package, sequencing pipeline, command line trick... etc)....> This depending on feedback to the survey link...
