delay on click and repeatedly sounds alert #17

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. click on magnet link
2. wait

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
it should popup and say added

What version of the addon are you using? On what operating system?
win7x64 

What type and version of torrent client and webui are you using?
azureus vuze running on linux java 1.7.0_51 version 5.3.0.0/4 az2

Please provide any additional information below.
It sometimes takes a while for the popup to come up, and when it does, it 
sounds really wierd, like the alert will be choppy and prolonged, sometimes it 
goes on for some time.

I can confirm the same behavior on FF29 OSX 10.9.   It does seem to happen more 
the longer a browser has been open for.  Typically restarting the browser 
causes the plugin to behave correctly.
