G-Mail App: Can't keep notifications and disable ringtone #249

On the older releases I had no problem having keeping G-Mail notifications on 
the screen and on the messaging LED without any sound.

It had a "Silent" option on the ringtone list which was indeed silent, now it 
has a "Silent" ringtone but instead of being silent, it is a female voice 
saying the word "silent!".

The same ringtone saying "silent!" is present on the sms app. I think it is the 
same bug as the g-mail ringtone.

I've tried to rename (via root Explorer) the "silent.ogg" in 
\system\media\audio\notifications to "silent woman.ogg" hoping this would solve 
this issue, but it doesn't work. 
Could you post, please, if possible, the instructions to modify by ourselves 
the rom?

 Any news on this issue?   It's a silly but aggravating bug..
