Phone out of space even though I use apps2sd

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. The out of space error happens every so often
2. Just regular use of the phone
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect not to run out of space because I am using apps2sd

What is the bin file you are using ? (0.010, 0.014, 0.016, 1.100...)

When I did the fresh wipe install I formated my sdcard to ext4 and partitioned 
for apps2sd using the recovery tool; however when I install any apps I have to 
manually move them to sd.  All my apps are on sd but I still get the out of 
space error every so often.
Plus in LCR Settings/ Data Storage Options/ Apps2sd/Dalvik Cache; the check 
boxes are not highlighted (greyed out) so I cannot toggle them on to move stuff 
to sd.
Also I am unable to move stuff to sd within recovery or using a terminal window.

Could you please give me the commands to use in a terminal window on my 
handset? I had a problem getting adb to work on my pc.
