Cannot add direct dial shortcut

I can't add a desktop shortcut to direct dial a contact. Contacts app FC's
on accessing the contacts.

This can't be fixed by us because it's an error in Acerc Contacts.apk for which 
we
don't have access to the source :(
This can be fixed by using Wysie Contacts, which we (Behnam atm) are working on.
