Using ISM7MQTT without the Addon #49

Hello there, I've come access this HA addon as I'm getting a Wolf Home Link gateway in a couple weeks. But I have one issue: I'm using HA core, so I am not able to install addons. What does this addon do on top of the ISM7MQTT program to be able to have the entities in Home Assistant? Or ist ist purely there to make installation easier for hassio users?

Nothing. It just starts ism7mqtt with the correct command line args.
