How is this different from competitors? #81

I see at least 2 other projects that are like yours:
- http://sourceforge.jp/projects/nyartoolkit-and/
- http://code.google.com/p/andar/

They are offering commercial licensing too, which I don't see featured on your 
site.
How do you differentiate yourself?

Hi,

thanks for reporting the issue.

As far as I know, both andar and nyartoolkit are based on marker-recognition 
techniques , whereas mixare is GPS (location) based.

If, as you say, they offer commercial licensing (dual licensing) then there is 
another difference since mixare is a truly Free Open Source Software project, 
i.e. no one has to sign a contribution agreement nor  copyright assignement. 
Therefore the license cannot be changed unless all the single contributors 
agree on  a new one. This is the best guarantee to a healthy community IMO.
