When you have just the year in the before after maps it might be bit misleading or confusing in case where the month and the date of the data might be relevant. For example if I want to make a map for before 2015 Nepal earthquake it is important for me to know that that data is before April 25 2015 and just allowing me to chose year 2015 and having the year 2015 in the visualization is not enough.
It would be good to know what is the data of the data when you are creating the before and after maps so that i know which year to select. Also having the full date in end visualization would provide users with this information.
