Fix clean builds from scratch #85

Problems addressed

Freepik api was updated, download scripts were updated
Add check script to verify that the build environment can be used to build the application
Fix build dependencies for release builds via gradle

TODOs

[x] Add builds via github actions environment (green checkmarks!)
[x] Add running the test suite via GitHub actions env (even more green checkmarks!!!)
[x] Add text-version of the build scripts to README.md so that interested people can follow along...
