Save verbose output to GHA automated test #164

Since we have issues with the automated tests (seemingly random failures, most often when a test runs for the first time, but passing on second run), it'd be good to add the lines included in this core issue to save the verbose output of simpletest.

I've gone ahead and merged this GHA change so that it can be run in other issue PRs.
