This from Devel's deprecated level logs: "The function _colorbox_doheader() (colorbox.module:213) called deprecated function variable_get()."

Fine for now in backwards compatibility, but has been deprecated and will be removed in Backdrop 2.0

A fix for this issue will be included in the next release.
