I can't provide exact steps to reproduce this yet.

But, playing with the exsting code, I was able to get to a point where I'm at least generating some new errors. That feels like progress.

Given the fresh port of the module and the fact that I'm not seeing this problem any more. I'm inclined to close this issue unless or until it can be reproduced.
