Looks like the tests still need to be adapted for backdrop. Adding this placeholder issue so we don't forget!

I can look into doing this in preparation of a v1.0 release.

I've converted all the tests to Backdrop, but some are still failing. I'm going to stop working on these tests for now, but would love more help wrapping up these final hurdles :)

Not all tests can get fixed (with php 8), as there's no Openlayers module for Backdrop, but some do work.

There's still usage of variable_get/set/del in module geofield_test, but as I don't even understand, what that code's supposed to check, anyway, I ignored it.

Currently GHA don't run (I'm no repo admin and can't run them before they're in the repo). So this issue and PR need someone to actually have a look. :wink:
