Show more Backdrop usage stats #637

Why do Backdrop's usage stats only go back 12 months? https://backdropcms.org/project/usage/backdrop Drupal's go back to 2012...

Can we have more stats please?

This is probably a separate issue, but the Release column in the table on the referenced page also needs to be natural sorted.

Thanks @oadaeh, yes!! 👍 ...my OCD's been tripping each time I visited the usage page.

...that + the chronological order being RTL 🙄

I asked about this on a recent DEV call and was told that currently, the only way one can get access to the entire history of statistics would be through a sanitized copy of the database. Not everyone has access to this. I'm exploring the possibility of graphing usage stats for the entire history of the project (as long as they have been keeping stats) and this is likely how I would get the data.

I would be in support of finding a way to make more data available and/or to display more data on the site.

There is a setting for this in the Project module:

But we can't change the value due to this bug: https://github.com/backdrop-contrib/project/issues/48
