Port of Image_field_captions

Hello, I have a D7 site that relies heavily on the use of captions on the image field of a custom content type. I would like to be able to upgrade to backdrop and bring in my images with these captions, but see that there is no option for captions on images fields in backdrop (https://www.drupal.org/project/image_field_caption), just on the inline images in the wysiwyg editor (https://www.drupal.org/project/image_caption).
