I'm not wedded to this but it seems fairly common on sites like StackExchange, etc. I'm assuming so that changes made after replies are added can be unwound manually (e.g. if a reply no longer makes sense after a question is revised, you can see the original question).
Maybe just showing the updated date on the question would be enough to indicate it's not the same as it was at the beginning.

This is a good idea. Let's start here and leave this issue open for a while.
If others want revisions we can enable them, but to me it often seems like a lot of extra overhead (and sometimes UX confusion) for little gain.
Well, we could use some design direction. But for now the updated date is there: https://forum.backdropcms.org/forum-topic/problems-image-styles
What do you think of this? (The date formats are not standardized between the created/modified dates, btw).

I think it's better! I was worried about the gray on gray, is that enough contrast for the visually impaired?

Yeah, the date we use for created looked too long for updated to me, but I can put it back if you think that's better. I bad at designstuff!
This is a follow up to https://github.com/backdrop-ops/forum.backdropcms.org/issues/49
We have turned on the ability for people to edit their own topics. Should we also allow or enforce revisions?
