Extra Characters added with mkdocs-autolinks-plugin #117

We have a use for using mkdocs-autolinks-plugin as it makes it easier to create inter site links without having to build ../../.. paths or typing out full URL paths.

When deploying our mkdocs site to Backstage, for some reason, the generated URL for some reasons comes with some extra items in the path that is not existent.

For example:

gets generated as this locally:

![Image](../images/siteicon.png)

but gets generated as in Backstage:

![Image](../../../../../tmp/docs_veebg344/images/siteicon.png)

Not sure if this is an issue with this plugin or with mkdocs-autolinks-plugin so I also have an issue filed there just in case.
