Currently #1 has a draft with pybind11.

[x] Replace this with nanobind (if easy) or get this to work
[x] Input fasta data as an example
[x] Integrate new code from @johannahelene's personal repo

is pybind going to be in the final version or is it just temporary and the end goal is nano bind?

I think as nanobind doesn't have a conda package, it will be easier for us just to stick with pybind11, so let's just leave it as is (and it won't make too much difference to be honest)
