simplifying adding a new language #29

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

Currently, when adding a new language for the UI, translation.py has to be
modified. This does not have to be the case. For example, in Crunchy,
language files are automatically detected and imported; this way, the code
for translation.py does not have to be modified each time a new translation
is added.

I should be the one doing this since I am familiar with Crunchy's code.

ok, nice offer ;-) I'm interested. I was actually going to convert the
remaining
latin1 encoded py files to utf-8 (not many) because xgettext since to reject
latin1
now (it wants iso-8859-1) and this way we could add non latin languages in
their own
language (I might not know how to say/read "Chinese" in English... ).
