Audio hisses on wake SP7 i7 #106

I get a hiss from the speakers when waking the laptop which continues until I trigger some other sound. At which point there is a loud click from the speakers, then the audio system behaves normally until the sleep wake hiss cycle. Is this just me?

Edit: I'm using Monterey 12.5.1

I have the same on my Monterey i7 SP7.

The same on i5 SP7 Monterey 12.6.5 with the latest release of EFI.

same here, SP7 i7, running Ventura with latest release of EFI

I found that setting bit depth to 24 and sample rate to highest available in audio-midi-setup made it disappear. (takes re-boot)
