Heavy FPS Drops #198

I play League of Legends on stream with your overlay. I've been using it for a while now. But recently when i try to use the overlay, my frame rate drops and my game becomes choppy like my pc isn't focused on it. Any suggestions on how to fix that? Edit: I have tried increasing my game's priority and increase/decrease the overlay's priority in task manager. Also when i minimise the app then its fixed, but obviously then i don't see the chat. It seems to make my game act like its not in the forground. I also have both as admin apps.

I've had this happen as well in the past, but it wasn't linked to just my app. There was a long period of time where just changing the volume (and Windows would put the volume indicator on screen, even on fullscreen games) would tank my FPS. And it was happening with TTCO being active as well. Eventually, after what I figured was some Windows updates, the issue got resolved. I'm not sure exactly what resolved it, but I do recall there being some bug that if you had multiple monitors at different refresh rates, it could have an impact too with certain apps.

I'm wondering if we could maybe figure it out, what's common between those who have the issue. What version of Windows are you on, graphics card, how many monitors, what refresh rates, etc. All that could help figure it out.

I just installed it and have the same issue, 240 FPS before running the overlay, 80 constant FPS after. Looks like more people have this problem, I'll attach the Dxdiag maybe it helps solve this for the future. Right now I'll have to find a different app solution. DxDiag.txt
