Improvements, one important #36

Hi,

nice light-weight app! Two additional features would improve it further:

  1. enable map zooming via volume (hard)keys.
  2. Important: Mapsforge themes like Elevate from Openandromaps have options which elements to display. A selection dialog is necessary (see e.g. Oruxmaps as example).

So far the best open-source app to use with openandromaps!

Two more things:

  1. would be nice if the user could supply own DEM files
  2. an option to use DEM height instead of GPS height

By the way, the coolest thing of the app is the magnified map view in split screen (Cockpit B)

Ah, and finally one more important thing:

Keep screen unlocked while tracking is on. That way, one can turn off the screen to save energy without having to unlock the phone each time when turning the screen back on.

thanks for the changes, very nice!

Any thoughts on DEM files? Oruxmaps for example supports user-supplied files, e.g. the LIDAR files from Sonny (see Openandromaps). One can then use DEM heigts in track recording, which is way superior to gps heights...
