Hover Zoom has been removed by the Chrome Web Store Team. I'm currently
discussing the problem with them and hope to provide a solution soon.

Could you provide the .crx file somewhere? So we can install it at least by
hand?
This would be great! Thanks :-)

I'm still waiting for an answer by the web store team, but if it takes too long
I'll make Hover Zoom available elsewhere.

OK, while the web store page is down, you can install Hover Zoom from my site:

Hope I'll get an answer from the web store team soon though...

I think the devs are just killing the extension without saying a word.
They're too lazy to keep it alive, so they just deleted it from the Chrome Web
Store, hoping we get used to it.
This is exactly how NOT to be a developer:
1. Keep your official website non-informative
2. If it's free, don't let anyone download the source code
3. Don't add any contact links or social media profiles on your website
4. Don't give a damn about your users
5. If you don't wanna code anymore, just delete the whole thing
6. If you're not lazy, but are working on something new, don't say a word either

I'm not saying the hoverzoom devs are bad devs, but they could be more
informative.

yaromanzarek: I've made several statements in the comments above with what I
know about the situation. I assume you didn't read them, otherwise you would
have known that I did not removed the extension myself, the web store team did.
I won't take your remarks into account, as it's clearly a speculative rant.

+1 to comment #19, devs are not lazy. If they are, they would have not built
the extension in first place. Hoping to get +ve response from Google web store
team.

Perhaps Google is planning on using this sort of feature for their own
purposes? It is a VERY handy tool and I was wondering why I couldn't find it so
I can install it on a friend's computer! Thank you for the information.

Google probably doesn't like that Hoverzoom is hijacking Ads on websites. Can't
they I blame them.

Hover Zoom is inserting ads, not hijacking them. Inserting ads is fine
according to their policies.

+1 to comment #19. Thanks for all your work Romain.
For work reasons i use multiple Chromium based browsers (Rockmelt, CoolNovo and
Chrome) and was looking to install Hoverzoom. Found it on your page now.
Cheers from NZ.

Good news everyone! Hover Zoom is back on the web store.
I've changed ads injection a bit, resubmitted it and it got published. However,
during the whole process I haven't had any details from the web store team
about what was causing the problem. I hope it won't happen again.
Note: their search engine haven't indexed Hover Zoom yet, but I think it's just
a matter of time.
