I thing notify osd notifications like http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/707/bboxosd.png/ in Gnome (and their equivalent in KDE) are better then standard noticications, becase they don't disturb

Qt doesn't support notify-OSD and I would avoid to have custom code for each OS/desktop environment... but if you want, fork the project and send me the patch :) tnx
