What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start xcompmgr (using cairo or compiz or compton or unagi instead does not
solve the issue)
2. Start Ardesia

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is a fully functional program. I'm not getting it to work
at all. Sometimes I get a totally grey screen that I can't do anything with.
Sometimes I get the toolbar to show up on the right side, but it's completely
grey (the icons don't display, though they do work because I can hover over
them and see their functions). But when I do click one of the toolbar buttons,
I still can't get any annotations to show up on the screen when I go to draw.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.1-1 on lubuntu 13.10 (I have also tried using 1.0-1 instead, as instructed in
a similar posted issue. The only change is that the toolbar icons are visible.
The results are exactly the same.)
Please provide any additional information below.
I tried running ardesia on a ubuntu (not lubuntu) live CD, and it worked
perfectly. This leads me to believe that this is an issue with its interaction
with lubuntu, or perhaps the openbox window manager?
