Make the help section more prominent #202

We should make the help page more prominent to ensure that customers find it. Can we link to the help section(https://support.balancedpayments.com/hc/en-us) from the Start page (https://dashboard.balancedpayments.com/#/start).

Also, let's move the "Help" section from side bar on the front page to the top menu next to "API Docs" and "Login" screen shot 2014-05-06 at 10 56 18 am

I don't think we should have two sets of navigations—one horizontal and one on the side. The idea is to keep most of the items within one menu. More importantly, I don't think pulling out "help" as a primary navigation item is the right approach. If customers are not getting basic questions answered, then it's because we're not doing a good job explaining ourselves on the homepage and we're missing many more static secondary pages on specific topics of our product. We should encourage the user to click to the features pages and learn more about a topic, and within those pages, offer links to specific help sections, providing ample opportunity for them to delve deeper into an issue, and providing multiple entry points into the help section.

Once the different feature sets are consolidated into a common page (with a subnavigation to move between feature topics), I imagine the side menu to look like this:

@dmdj03 Agree with you. Now that I see that there are only two options: "Menu and login" I believe customers will be able to better access the help section.

I also think, that as you said we should change the call to action on the front page from "Try the dashboard" to a "Get started" guide. Closing this issue.
