Shifting times when configuring #35

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
When adjusting the time values, the other time values seem to shift
proportionally, as happens when adjusting any of the times with the time-input
dialog. In this way it isn't easy to adjust a single timevalue without
unintentionally adjusting the other values in the configuration. There seems to
be a best-practice sequence for setting the individual times, whilst I expect
the interface to work logically regardless of which timevalue I adjust first.

Thanks for the comment. I haven't yet found a design that feels intuitive and
practical. It would be probably better to be able to change all the time values
independently except the alarm start time, that makes all the other times
shift. If I do so, I'd like this "special" quality of the first time value to
be evident in the interface, for example with a different vertical line.
I'll think about it.

After the initial report of this issue, I found out that the starting time of
the timer is actually clickable, which wasn't obvious to me at initial use.
From that moment on I've used that to adjust the starting time per day. Often
times I however get the colour selector rather than the time adjuster. I guess
the conclusion is the interface is not yet ideal, let alone intuitive. Knowing
how to cope with it, the app itself is very usable.
