more copyedit up to medium matters #9

Reading slowly and enjoying it all. I always pine for a way to suggest trivial edits to things when I stumble over mistakes. Thanks for making it possible for this work.

One thing I've left alone (but is driving me batty) are the inconsistencies over " - " vs " – " vs "—"

Yeah, the dash inconsistencies are something me and Tom need to sort out. We need to pick a house style (for this and other things) and then stick to it.
