latest version of raspbian changed "lirc-rpi" to "gpio-ir" default pins are 18/17 (could not make 23/22 work on RPi 3+)

actually ... send does not work exec error: Error: Command failed: irsend SEND_ONCE mitsubishiac off ir-service Error running command: Input/output error
