The smart home expo 2022, Mumbai was attended by almost all major APAC companies in this space. There were some keynote talks, the new hype was around matter, sustainability and inter-portability. The event felt quite corporate with a very small mix of community focus. Mostly it was companies setting up their booths to showcase their smart home products and offering. Smart door locks, switches, lightning and music system were a huge.

A few companies were also showcasing linux based multi-protocol smart-home hubs which could be potential balena customers(shared with CS). I gave few demos here and there to interested folks. People definitely identified my balenaEtcher tshirt.

There were so SaaS company per say but Espresiff were proudly showing their ESP Rainmaker platform in their booth. I've a mixed feeling about setting a balena booth here but it might be a good experiment for next year.
