forbidden repo. etcher wont update and suggests i reach out for help here. #3616

I think you need to remove the (old) https://dl.bintray.com/etcher/debian and https://deb.etcher.io repositories from your sources.list ?

Correct - we're not using bintray anymore, so delete the old PPA to avoid issues
