Bluetooth notifications are rarely sent

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.setup bluetooth on phone + comp
2. Send test notif
3.

What is the expected output? 
Test notification is received

What do you see instead?
I have to send then repeatedly and maybe 1 or 2 will appear

Using ubuntu 10.04 x64 on lenovo w500 and nexus one frf91
