Windows support ? #70

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

You say that this software is supported with the Windows OS, yet you have no
Windows client, nor the intent of developing one. This is very misleading and
dishonest. How can you say that your software supports Windows when have no
intent of actually writing a Windows client ?

Some facts:
* I never said I support Windows
* If you read the project description, you'll see "Windows will follow whenever
someone volunteers to do it"
* There's a separate project done by someone else at
http://code.google.com/p/android-notifier-desktop/ which does support Windows,
it's also linked from the homepage of this project
* I don't have or plan to have a Windows machine, so I can't develop or support
a Windows version directly, but I have every intent of collaborating with
people willing to develop other clients
* You probably found this project through the lifehacker article (not written
by me either), which explicitly mentions the separate project above
* If you searched for similar issues before filing yours (which you should, it
wastes less of the developers' time, allowing us to spend that time improving
the app), you'd have found multiple Windows-related issues
* It's very unpolite to call people dishonest without doing your homework first
(in fact it's a felony in many countries) - this is not the type of feedback I
welcome
