Additional system information

Printer

Bambu Lab X1C

How to reproduce

Reproduction

  1. Open the attached .3mf-project
  2. Slice the plate
  3. Check slicing results in layers 19+20 to see unwanted support

Screenshots showing the issue

Actual results

Unexpected/unwanted support (using support material) is generated in layers 19+20. The support material is used as an interface layer for an anwanted support base that 'crawls' into the holes

Expected results

Support material should only be used in layer 74+75 for supporting the internal ceiling

This is the intrinsic defect of normal support of rasterizing the overhang areas into grid-like regions. Fixing this issue is difficult and unnecessary:

  1. it means changing a lot to the normal support, and many other cases may be affected;
  2. hybrid support support can take over in your case
