ISSUE Traces acting crazy #769

I hope I'm doing this correctly as its the first time I have ever done so. My sincerest apologies if not.

The issue is with the placement of traces on the board. I have had some weird issues for a while now when i am laying out the traces on the boards of my projects. when you click the first pad or spot, it anchors your trace to that position, and then the second click you make, it places the end of the trace. The issue arises after the first end of the trace is anchored. No matter where the pointer is at on the screen, when you try to click the position for the end of the trace, instead of putting it where you just choose, it automatically places a very long, straight diagonal trace to the bottom right corner instead of where you tried to place the end of it. It just instantly lays a trace on the board from the first position chosen all the way out of sight down to the bottom right corner of the screen.

In attempts to clearly convey the information, I apologize if I'm being redundant. I just know it is not easy to clearly explain maybe so i want to be sure i do explain it thoroughly.

1. So, you click the first time where you wish to start the trace.

2. You move the mouse to the position you wan to end the trace. (so far, normal operation...)

3. Then immediately as you try to click the second position, instead of ending it where you selected, it automatically places your trace from your first chosen position to somewhere out of sight, and off the screen to the bottom right.

It always goes to the bottom right corner of the screen and out of sight and i have no idea why. It has done this to me on multiple occasions now, both on a laptop i have used DIYLC on for years, as well as a brand new laptop i have just purchased. It isn't an issue of anything touching the trackpad when this happens, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the computer. I am also very careful about how I am tapping or clicking while using DIYLC, etc.

typically i will just hit CTRL + Z (undo) to re-place the trace, and that's all there is to fixing it. But a few times i have used the UNDO function, and the very time i try to place that same trace, it repeats this bug or whatever.

I unfortunately don't have any kind of error logs or pictures to send with this, as there really isn't anything I have to demonstrate this happening. But if it does happen again, hopefully I can remember to get a screenshot. It will happen sometimes over and over frustratingly enough, while trying to place the same trace, other times just sporadically.

I feel I should also mention, I am NOT by any means making any complex circuits. We're just talking some single transistor overdrives (Electra) or a dual op amp distortion (ProCo Rat), so it isn't that there's a densely over-packed board and I'm doing something wrong, etc.

Anyway, I hope that all makes sense. I absolutely adore DIYLC and you guys rule so much for keeping it going like this. It is an absolute godsend to so many people, and I personally cannot thank you enough for all you guy(s) do.

Thanks, Junk McNuggets
