Challenge Description

DeFi has exploded in the past two years from a niche market to an over $1 Billion industry earlier this year. However, without a cross-chain oracle and liquidity, the bulk of DeFi activity has been limited to Ethereum. Let’s change that!

We’d like to see you build a cross-chain DeFi protocol that consumes oracle data from BandChain over the Cosmos IBC. Qualifying protocols include:

What would you like to see on-chain that doesn’t exist yet due to the lack of a secure data source or cross-chain compatibility?

Many use-cases can be unlocked through Band Protocol’s ability to connect smart contracts to any open API or data source to provide price feeds, on-chain metrics such as gas cost or Bitcoin block hash, real-world events and more!

I'm developing ATOM-backed stablecoin system called MeiChain. MeiChain, built on Cosmos SDK, takes ATOM from Cosmos Hub over the IBC to collateral for the new stablecoin MEI, which its value is pegged to 1 US Dollar. Users can open their CDP (Collateralized Debt Position) and also liquidate another CDP. It uses ATOM/USD price feed from Band Protocol.

🙏 MEI(矎) means greatness and stability in chinese.

  1. I will keep all the development transparent on the aforementioned Github.

My first Hachathon, I'm new to Blockchain. I started developing on the Ethereum Blockchain recently. I'm want to get my hands dirty and try to get creative by buidling a StableCoin called AbriChain. 4) pisuthd has started work.

1) Evaluate BandChain on how to fetch pricing feeds, configuration and so on... 2) Make a widget that allows to stake liquidity on DeFi's DEXes such as Bancor, Uniswap and Curve Finance 3) To help stakers overcome a price volatility issue l by placing a margin trade on staked tokens on lending protocols such as Compound,... at the time of stake purchases which amounts to be traded are identified by Oracle.
