I meant official downloads (which are ZIPs)

This is purely subjective and not a bug in any way. Don't waste the dev's time
with
stuff like this. The current UI is perfectly usable and if you want something
fancier
than just use the mod you linked to (I personally prefer the default UI over
any of
the mods I've seen thus far).

I think Movist has a fantastic interface in comparison to VLC and QuickTime,
but i
agree that it could use work. The one specific area that i think needs
attention is
the seek/skip buttons — accordingly i'd posted the following a while back:
http://code.google.com/p/movist/issues/detail?id=41&sort=-opened&colspec=ID%20Op
ened%20Type%20Status%20Priority%20Milestone%20Owner%20Summary
I certainly don't think it's a 'waste of time' to fix confusing and non-standard
interface elements, in any case.

I aggree. Only the seek/skip buttons need to be improved. I love that singular
play
button! Not sure if it should have skip (i use the keyboard instead) or seek
(rarely
use em) buttons next to it.
btw, okd, as far as I've seen, these buttons are simple tiff's. can't you
include
those from your mockup in the releases?
mikeloco14, yeah, this should be marked as an enhancement, so do many others.
some
issues should also be marked solved. Did you notice all are marked type: defect
|
status: new | priority: medium?! though, I don't care that much honestly.

Yeah I noticed they are all marked as medium priority...strange.
The pure subjectiveness of front-end's often results in the ability to apply
skins or
themes a.la. Firefox and many other apps. Themes as in, you don't have to hack
the
.app to apply them. Maybe if Movist searched "~/Library/Application
Support/Movist/Themes" for theme / skins and had an easy in-GUI method to
switch.
That could make everyone happy...

Yeah... I complete agree.
It is not subjective. There are standards for symbol meanings.
In movist they are non-standard. Specifically, and perhaps singularly, the skip
and seek buttons.
Also... it would be nice if there was an option to make the play button smaller
to streamline the interface.
Otherwise, very nice!
