Describe the bug
When trying to set the background image value to a variable in the Global Theme settings, when I click on the variable select image, the variables popover flashes briefly and then disappears so I am unable to select the variable to use.
Self-hosted version: 2.27.0

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
In builder, go to '.Theme -> Global -> Background.'
Click on 'Image' and click on 'Select an Image'
Select 'Link' and click on the 'Insert a variable' button.
Variables list popover flashes briefly and then disappears
Expected behavior
A user should be able to choose a variable that stores the image link for the background and be able to control that variable value during the flow
