Unable to run #47

Hello there, I am having windwos 10 system. I have anaconda on system. from Jyupeter note book I have installed gb-dl "!pip install gb-dl" now I am not sure how can I run this file. I tried to run this file from cmd prompt but I ti showing unrecognised file. Can oyu please explain step by step how can I run this.

when i run gb-dl.py on cmd prompt . it is opening .py file in notpad

Hi @Amolkulkarni2 , you should have python3 installed and set your path variables. Then open cmd or powershell and

  1. pip install gb-dl
  2. run gb-dl.py

Just type gb-dl.py to run it. Not run gb-dl.py

When I just typed gb-dl.py . It asked me to open file option . I opened in notepad . image

I got a key but where shall I put it?

Thats unusual it usually works that way. Try python gb-dl.py

I have tried this .. See background folder has that *.py file. but getting error message .

Hi @Amolkulkarni2 , please try the below This happened because most probably you have set notepad as the default program to open a .py file. Go to default programs app in windows. Select choose app by extension. Here search for .py files. Change the option from notepad to python. This should solve your problem.

Trying.. When it ask for cookies Enter course url : https://financial-confidence-hub1.teachable.com/courses/enrolled/729919 Email : amolkulkarni.2@gmail.com Password : Trying to Login ... Enter cookie instead:

I downloaed cookies using get cookies txt extension for Chrome. It says authenticating cookies and then window get disappear.

also @barakagb I got two keys so which will be valid? shall I share key with you ?

For the keys use the any the other will be decommissioned.

For the cookie is way easier to use firefox.Log on to the course in firefox then run gb-dl -d firefox . This will load the cookies automatically, else use the value of _session_id .

@barakagb : Thank you so much for your help and sorry if I am doing silly mistakes :( Now I have installed Mozzila firefox . On power shell I am writing a command as below =>

after hitting enter it opend py file . still It is asking for cookie instead

I have installed cookie quick manager . from there I got session Id . I have entered a id a. it says cookies authenticated and download at C:\downloads but after that window get closed.

it shows following window and then window get disappeared

I think the window disappears after the script has completed or stopped. Try using using cmd and not powershell.

@Amolkulkarni2 the issue is now fixed. Upgrade gb-dl by running "pip install gb-dl -U" without the quotes .
