Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Save existing project
2. Open the next day
3. Create new task
4. Try to change dates of tasks but dates are changed randomly and not
according to input
5. Choosing 'Project start' or 'Today' above the timeline does not go to the
right place on the timeline

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected: correct dates
Expected: right placement on timeline
See instead: wrong dates
See instead: wrong placement on timeline

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.6.6 build 1715
Mountain Lion OS

Please provide any additional information below.

Normally dates changing "randomly" mean that you have a dependency between a
task and its own summary task. However, in our practice when people say
"randomly" they actually mean something different. You may want to read this
forum discussion about dates:
http://forum.ganttproject.biz/view/20140407200548_2peee67uiz62516p4l9xcwewc

It is impossible to say something more certain without your specific project.
Please attach it here or send us by email if you really think it is a bug and
want it to be fixed.

The same applies to item 5. It does go to the right place, at least as I
understand it. You understanding might be different, and we can't guess what
exactly do you mean when you say "wrong placement". Please attach your project
and describe exact scenario and precise expectations (e.g. "I expect the
project to be scrolled to date X".
