@CaptainEmerson Not sure what you're asking here. Either interpretation is fine, though "What's happening here?" would likely work better for a human. Probably you'd want to word it in the form of the questions in the paragraph above. Change to research question? I dunno.

If it's either of those questions, you don't define them until later, yet you're referring to them here. You also add "original", implying there are more recent questions, but it's not clear what those are either.

I'd suggest: a software engineering researcher might ask -> a software engineering researcher might ask the research questions using the original grounded theory question. -> using the research question question.
