Not working on Linux mint 15 kernel 3.8 #15

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install the driver using dpkg -i
2. Nothing happens when i plug in the wifi dongle (RTL8188ETV)
3. however with modprobe 8192cu loads the module sucessfully, but the device 
still not works.
